Attorney Kofi Asmah has close to twenty years experience in property law and real estate practice and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ghana Bar Association and the International Bar Association. Attorney Asmah is a key external attorney for the top Five banks in Africa, including Standard Bank based in Johannesburg, South Africa which recorded revenue of $8.6bn in 2016, and the Standard Chartered Bank with a revenue of over $14bn in 2017. His other Clients include Toyota and Samsung. His law firm, Gyandoh Asmah and co, which he co-founded with Professor Emeritus Samuel Gyandoh Jnr., of Temple University, in Philadelphia, has three offices, in Buckhead, Atlanta, Accra and Kumasi in Ghana. Kofi Asmah is a Consultant for the World Bank Group, and Economic Counsellor of the African Union Diaspora African Forum. On June 9th 2022, he was honoured with a citation by the City of Philadelphia and its Senate for his contribution to the development of the global diaspora at an event preceded by a presentation by the Mayor of Philadelphia, James Francis Kenney. In October, 2017 Attorney Asmah was appointed by the Government of Hungary as Chairman for the Ghanaian Hungarian Business Council. Attorney Asmah is director for African Economic Development Center an organization deeply committed to narrowing the divide between developed countries and emerging nations, by promoting more foreign direct investment from the US into Africa. A key proponent for development of intercontinental railroad infrastructure development across Africa to boost trade and development of the African continent, he has advocated for the US to lead the narrative and initiative for African development. He is also a partner in the Crown Strategy Group, a business investment and development group, which is chaired by the civil rights leader and former Mayor of Atlanta, Andrew Young.
